ARToolKit
This kit by ARToolworks is specifically designed to work on the iPhone. While the tracking is now flawless, it shows the capabilities of the iPhone to use markers and create an AR environment. ARToolworks has many different AR projects in the works and provides tools for others to create their own AR applications.
Augmented Reality Toys.v1
This AR toy by Frantz Lasorne shows some of the capabilities and limitations of AR. In our development many of the ideas we came up with involved game elements and in some cases many markers. The video shows a game mode with several markers creating a sort of menu. With the iPhone, we may be able to bypass using markers as menus.
555 KUBIK
This art project by URBANSCREEN shows the kind of building modification we proposed in one of our design ideas (for building destruction). While this project does not use augmented reality (this is all done with powerful projection tools) the concept of modification is very similar. The project shows that the 3D manipulation we would aim to create with our building destruction ideas already exists and we should be able to integrate this into our AR design.
